So my message to everyone, next time you take your back. i have the dreaded leaky half shaft seal issue on my 08 nav. i went down the route of replacing the rear axle with one from a 2009 nav (well past the problem era). Noise and excessive play in the rear wheel bearings are a common problem with the 2005 onwards nissan. i found my rear oil seals leak at round 130k ( i think this is fairly common fault for a d23). The dealer only replaced the seals but need to replace the rear. (half shaft trouble). I replaced the whole bearing with one from goldwagen for. I have been told by nissan nz that there is only one seal.
